Junior Tennis Lessons - Going on NOW!!

WHEN: Sat. March 30 - Sat. May 19, 2013.

AGES & TIMES:

• 5-8yrs - 9:00-9:45am
• 9-10yrs - 10:00-11:00am
• 11-18yrs - 11:15am-12:15pm

COSTS:

• 5-8yrs - $60 ($50 if paid by 3/10/13)
• 9-18yrs - $72 ($62 if paid by 3/10/13)

The lessons will be following USTA guidelines for 10&under Quickstart tennis. We will be using the red court, orange court, green court progression, along with the appropriate tennis balls.

We will also schedule some interclub team matches with a couple of other clubs. Come and join the fun!

BLIND DRAW TENNIS TOURNAMENT!!

WHEN: Sunday, June 2nd - 2:00PM until we are finished.

WHERE: Cool Dell Tennis Court Shelter

WHO: Club members (ages 16 and up) of all talent levels.

WHY: Encourage Cool Dell members enjoy our most under appreciated asset….The Tennis courts!!

COST: FREE!!!!!

Please come and join us for an evening of tennis, food (hot dogs after the tournament), drinks (Gator-aid during and beer/soda after) and prizes (Cool Card Cash amounts to be determined by number of players). We will have racquets for everyone to use or bring your own.

The format will be a blind draw double elimination tournament (every one guaranteed 2 matches) with 3 groups of experience to ensure even competition -

• A Players – Currently play often.
• B Players – Used to play and understand the game, but it’s been a while.
• C Players - Never (or hardly ever) played Tennis and would like to try it out...

A players will be paired with C players. B players will be paired together.

Private Tennis Lessons

Tennis Director, Lucian Biesladecki

Lucian played professionally on the satellite tour from 1987-1988. Lucian moved to St. Louis in 1998 to peruse a Master’s Degree in Education Technology from University of Missouri St. Louis. While at UMSL He took the position of head coach at Ursuline Academy from 1998-2001 where he lead the team to its first time state tournament berth and top ten finish. He also became a part time professional instructor at Sunset Tennis Center to work with the regional and national ranked junior players in the Missouri Valley. He coached the Missouri Valley Zonal 14’s team in 2000. Lucian has coached district and sectional teams and moved to Triple A Tennis Center to become a national coach and run the National Clay Court camps for three summers. He became the director of the junior tennis program at Wilson’s tennis center during the winter season of those three years. During these years and the years that followed, at one time or another Lucian had been a travel coach, teaching professional and tournament director for the Wilsons junior program. Once completing is maters degree he moved to the classroom at Vianney and became head coach of the boy’s team for five years where the team advanced to the state tournament. Back in the classroom he became the director of tennis for the City of Kirkwood from 2001-2011. In 2010 he returned to Sunset tennis center to become a teaching coach once again to the present. He returned to Ursuline in 2010 to become the head coach and is a Business teacher at Mehlville High School.
